Titanium / Selective Laser Melting
This titanium alloy is a commonly used alloy in technical and medical applications because of its high strength, low weight and its excellent biocompatibility.
The essential difference between Ti6Al4V ELI (grade 23) and Ti6Al4V (grade 5) is the reduction of oxygen content to 0.13% (maximum) in grade 23. This confers improved ductility and fracture toughness, with some reduction in strength.
Ti6Al4V (ELI) is a high strength titanium alloy. Processing the alloy with our Selective Laser Melting technology, we see values that are at least as high as for ‘standard’ milled material. This is due to the fact that we have a full melting technology. The rapid cool down of our titanium material results in a very fine microstructure which is favorable for the mechanical properties; this leads to values that are even higher than what is required by ASTM and ISO standards.

Ceramic Chrome Cobalt
The CoCr alloy, an option from which the Bridges are milled, is a very corrosion-resistant NEM alloy on a CoCrW basis. It has excellent mechanical traits and is suitable for use as baking-alloy due to the same CTE as most porcelains.
It can be coated with all ceramic dental materials that cover the CTE range of 14.6 µ m/m.K (25-500°C) and of 14.9 µ m/m.K (25-600°C).
